B12 and lipotropic injections are safe and effective procedures that rarely cause significant side effects. During your consultation, we will analyze your current medications and health state to ensure these injections don’t interfere with anything else you are currently taking.
You may not be a good candidate for lipotropic injections if you have anxiety, thyroid issues, or any kind of cardiovascular condition.
If side effects besides discomfort in the injection site appear, make sure to call us right away for medical advice. Key side effects to look out for include:
- Signs of an allergic reaction: skin rash, itching, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat
- Signs of dehydration: dry mouth, lightheadedness, headache, dark yellow or brown urine
- Signs of gallbladder problems: severe stomach pain that spreads to your back and fever
If you experience any of the above side effects, call us immediately.
