To make sure Dysport® is the right treatment for you, we will conduct a series of medical evaluations, including reviewing your medical history and physical health. We will also ask you beforehand to stop taking certain medications, such as allergy medications, blood thinners, sleep aids, or muscle relaxers.
Once this is done, we will start developing your treatment plan, where we will identify the specific areas where Dysport® will be applied to your body.
As the procedure begins, your doctor will start by applying a small amount of topical anesthetic to prevent pain to the injection site. The Dysport® injection itself does not take more than 10 minutes, and you’ll be able to leave immediately after it’s been administered.
You’ll be provided with clear follow-up instructions you are expected to follow as stated to prevent any undesired effects. This includes a recommended timeline for the reapplication of Dysport® in a few months’ time.
After your Dysport® procedure, you’ll be able to leave home with no downtime needed.
