GLP-1 Weight Loss in Tallahassee, FL

PhySlim Tallahassee offers semaglutide and tirzepatide for weight loss at our office on Timberlane Road. Every patient is evaluated in person by a provider before starting, with labs, a body-composition scan, and regular follow-up. Our prices are published below — you will know the monthly cost before your first visit.

How it works at PhySlim Tallahassee

  1. New patient visit ($99). About 40 minutes, in person: medical history, medications, blood pressure, an InBody body-composition scan, required labs, and a B12/lipotropic injection.
  2. A plan built for you. If a GLP-1 is appropriate, your provider chooses the medication and starting dose. If it isn’t, we tell you why and what else fits.
  3. Follow-up ($60). Dose changes are made at follow-up based on how you are doing, not on a fixed calendar.
  4. Medication one month at a time. Dispensed monthly in a vial compounded and labeled for you. Pick it up at the Tallahassee office or have it shipped (shipping at cost).

What we prescribe — and what we don’t

The compounding market built on cheap copies of Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound closed when the shortages ended. We do not sell copies. We prescribe a combination formulation — semaglutide or tirzepatide with L-carnitine — compounded patient-specifically by a 503A pharmacy. That is not a copy of the approved drug. It is a distinct formulation, prescribed where there is a documented clinical reason the approved product does not address a particular patient’s situation. The distinction matters legally and clinically, and we do not blur it.

For many patients, the FDA-approved product is the right choice, and manufacturer direct-pay programs (LillyDirect for Zepbound, NovoCare Pharmacy for Wegovy) have narrowed the price gap. If that is the better route for you, we will say so. Which option, and what dose, is a clinical decision made at your visit.

Semaglutide or tirzepatide — which is right for me?

Both reduce appetite and help you eat less. Tirzepatide acts on two hormone pathways and, in clinical trials, produced more average weight loss; semaglutide has the longer track record and a lower starting price. Your history, your goals and how you tolerate the first doses decide which one we start. For the full comparison, see our tirzepatide and semaglutide guides.

Why an in-person clinic instead of an online prescription

Online services can mail medication after a questionnaire. We see you in person, check your labs, adjust the dose when side effects show up, and protect muscle while you lose fat — protein targets and resistance training are part of every plan. When something feels off, you call our Tallahassee office, not a chat window.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get a GLP-1 prescription in Tallahassee?

At PhySlim Tallahassee, 1338 Timberlane Rd. A provider evaluates you in person first; if a GLP-1 is appropriate, treatment can start after your visit and labs.

Do I need insurance?

No. We are direct-pay with published prices. HSA and FSA cards work.

How fast will I lose weight?

It varies. Most people notice appetite change in the first weeks, and dose increases are gradual to limit nausea. We do not promise a number.

What are the common side effects?

Nausea, fullness, and constipation or diarrhea, especially after dose increases. Most are manageable by adjusting dose and timing — tell us early.

Who should not take a GLP-1?

People with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2, people who are pregnant or planning to conceive, and people with certain other conditions. We screen for these at your first visit.
